my africaness

So after spending 3 years in D town, I decided to get away from friends and distractions and attend college 2 1/2 hours away. it has been an interesting experience cos most of the times i go blame myself dey wonder why I suddenly had the smart idea to go to school so far away from my comfort zone, and my excuse is that am attending a good college and a getting a hell of a better education.

Taking the Bus to get to school na different experience on its own. The fact that u gotta move and rotate ur butt a coupla times to get a comfortable sitting position for the 2 and a half hour is extremely annoying. As if that's not enough, u gotta deal with all the different personalities u meet on the bus.

Oyingbo people especially d so called "lower class" get as dem dey. Dis folks dey behave like say everybody dey owe dem something. Dis lady got on the bus and wanted her kids to sit close to the driver, the driver kindly told her to go down the aisle as the kids will be jumping up and down and distracting him. Before u fit spell c-a-l-a-b-a-r, omo see dey abuse wey dis woman dey throw at the driver. " U retarded peice of shit, who the fuck r u to tell my kids where to sit", this continued for another 10 minutes before she eventually took the kids to the back of the bus. The other day na so dis akata woman just the snore for bus one hour straight, omo na so everybody just dey turn look am, but nobody fit say anything. After an hour and 1o mins of snoring, one oyingbo woman do the mistake of waking the akata up, omo na ww3 nearly happen for bus. "bitch what chu do dat for", "fuck u think u are to wake me the fuck up", "Hoe, u touch me again, am a come over and slap ur bitch ass up". Na so we come dey beg d woman make she no vex o. Dat kain thing happen for naija, d woman for don hear am, but as i dey always yarn e go better.

Being African to the core, seeing how most of dis akata boys dey behave dey embarass me no be small. Am constantly accosted by my "brothers" trying to sell me dope, or better still yelling " can i get 25 cents man"? The thing dey annoy me sometimes, but wetin u go do for land wey no be ur own.

E go better sha, na to push am softly finish dis school year, damn program is taking a long time to get done with though. Anyway make una take am easy o.
